Gordon's webcam news

Post by bwd »

Some news - first the bad. The Gordon's webcam went down today and it will likely be down until May 10 (next Tuesday). Sorry bout that.... :(

Now the good news. I ordered a new and more reliable webcam today and it should be here in a couple of weeks. It is not the fancy zoom type (since this is a lot more $$), so my plan is to swap the Columbia cam with this new cam. Then we can use the zoom camera at Gordon's in the summer and then move it back to Columbia in the winter. Make sense? We plan to keep the existing cam going at Gordon's and point that one upwind, the zoom cam will be pointed at the sailing area slightly downwind of Jack's. A weather station for Gordon's is also in the works.
thanks
dave

Dave,

Sounds great!
Don't know if the weather station is tied into the cam but if not and you need a place to put it. Our place is available.

Jl,
no I didn't receive any messages re the weather station.
It must be in somewhere in cyberspace.
