Carbon vs Aluminum Mast Extensions
Carbon vs Aluminum Mast Extensions
I think there's no doubt to the advantage of higher content carbon masts, and if you can swing the price carbon booms, bu what about extensions? I've never thought about the extension to much, but Unifiber just shared an article on there thoughts on the matter, http://www.unifiber.net/2015/blog/2015/ ... tensions1/.
I've broken both, snapped one carbon on formula, bent and broke one aluminum, and tore the downhaul cleat and pulley out of one aluminum extension. So I haven't seen an advantage either way.
