Crash on Forecast
Several machines I use sometimes crash I. Explorer when the forecast page is loaded. Marine forecast is OK, but when I page down it crashes on the 'Victoria' forecast. I note that this also happens when I load "cities and towns" forecast page from Env. Can directly. I think it happens on a range of platforms, from Windows 98 to XP Pro. No, just checked, it doesn't do it on XP. Happens every couple of months, usually lasts a day or two then goes away. Weird. Does this happen to other people too? Anything I need to do at my end, or can BWD site be altered to avoid the crash taking down the whole program?

Re: Crash on Forecast
Hey Mf4: Sorry for the delayed reply but I've been out of town for a week. Like Russian Guy says, have you done all the Windows updates or browser updates? I haven't seen this before, but I use XP. It sounds like it is something on the EnvCan page, I'll look at the page and let you know if I see anything, more force 4 wrote:Several machines I use sometimes crash I. More suggestions...
Hey Mf4: Try this too:
Start Internet Explorer
Empty the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder. To do so:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
When you are prompted to delete all temporary Internet files, click OK.
In the Downloaded Program Files folder on your hard disk, remove the files that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged. To do so:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Settings.
Click View Objects.
The list of program files that are downloaded to the SystemRoot\Downloaded Program Files folder on your hard disk appears in the Downloaded Program Files window.
In the Status column, note the files that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged. Remove these files. To do so, right-click the file, and then click Remove.
When you are prompted to confirm the removal, click Yes.
Close the Downloaded Program Files window, and then click OK two times.
