bladder patch

Post by JasonD »

Hey! Anybody know what tape/patch I should use to cover a tiny pin hole in my brand spankin new, expensive ('cause of UPS's brokerage fee) Airtime replacement bladder??

Anybody else ever get a bladder from Airtime (Oregon) with a pin hole added for free?? Replacement? Warranty??

Will leading edge or canopy patch tape work?

thanks!!

buy some TEAR AID TYPE A from MEC and use one of the little circle patches in the pack. make sure you use the alcohol wipe first (twice even) and then also make sure the bladder and patch are not cold (I use a blow dryer). It will work perfectly.

I use Park bicycle patches with great success. You might want to contact Airtime before patching. They may want the unaltered bladder back for a warranty replacement.

I know how ya feel  :x I no longer deal with ANY supplier who uses them, inquire before ordering!
Not sure about pinholes for free, that sux :? I would request a replacement first  that way u may have a spare....and if they put "warranty replacement" on the shipment, UPS cannot charge a brokerage
