A BWD Fundraiser:

Leading Edge Productions and Elevation Kiteboarding are going to give away one My Session instructional DVD a week until Nitinaht Wind Fest Aug 13-17 (7 weeks). There will also be a grand prize winner announced at Wind Fest that will get a free basic lesson from Elevation Kiteboarding, a new 2m trainer kite and a copy of the My Session DVD. This "Learn to Kiteboard" package is worth $350 and should give the winner a great introduction to the sport. The 2 hour lesson can be catered to your ability so anyone can benefit.

So here's how it works. Tickets are purchased by donating to the BWD website through Paypal or mail starting on July 01, 2008.
Ticket prices are $15 each, 2 for $25, 3 for $35, 5 for $55, 7 for $75 or 10 for $100.
100% of the money collected goes to the BWD site. Just put "for kiteboard raffle" on the donation.

There will be a weekly draw for one My Session instructional DVD from now until Nitinaht Wind Fest (7 weeks). Those who donated/purchased tickets during that week will be put into a draw for the DVD at the end of the week. If you don't win during the week that you donated then don't be sad - all tickets will be put into the final draw for the grand prize winner announced at Wind Fest (Aug 13-17).

Things seem to have slowed down a bit. Remember, the kiteboarding lessons in the grand prize can be tailored to your ability. Elevation Kiteboarding gives advanced lessons too for those working on jumps etc. Also the DVDs and grand prize make great gifts for people that want to get into the sport i.e. a significant other.

Received the 'Learn to Kiteboard' DVD today and watched it tonight.

The DVD gives a general overview and then provides details about various aspects of kiteboarding. A nice change from the short clips on UTube.

It has great step-by-step instructions for getting started with Kiteboarding.

I think it is a excellent companion to professional guidance with IKO instructors. I would definately recommend this locally produced DVD for anyone thinking about learning to kiteboard.
