Seems like these people down in the gorge area put on a good show.
lot of interaction with the kiteboarders down there.

Any of you go to this area come summer?

We did Playa in January.
There was good winds for the days we were there.

I did 1 lesson in Playa hotel row area just south of town, was tough for a new kiter,big surf would be great for experienced rider.

Yea i have built a 1 board now its sitting waiting for use.
Also have a Mako 150 built just needs glassing.
got a little behind on my board building it spring and my Motorcycle needs putting back together :) .

Board Building

Hi all
just thought i would post some pictures of boards im building.
I have met a couple guys now who have either built or want to build.
So i thought i would post for input.

First board build .. lite wind
cedar core
epoxy/flox rails.

any comments are appreciated.

As for type/style right now it would be nice to consistently get up and ride.:)

I am older so the process of getting to doing tricks grabbing air will be a process.
I am looking to basically cruise minor jumps etc nothing fancy.

As for building, Like i said i am a boat ...

What to look for in a Board for a newbie.

Hi Guys.
Im new to the sport. have 12 hours of instruction, at the board start stage.
done a few starts, lots of face plants :)

Any way what should a new rider be concerned with in a board that i can progress with?

I weigh in at 170 ..5'11.

head out Pat bay highway. about halfway from vic to ferry right side going out watch for signs .. or look under Wiki here on site for directions to local spots :)
