Post by nanmoo »

I am planning on the last two weeks of June as per normal.

Hope to see some others out in the meth free zones!

Oregon windsurfing trip June 2024!

Post by Bigtrib »

Any other windsurfers heading down to Oregon in June :?: Im driving the Fargo down on June 17th until the 28th or so. :D

I have read a lot of old posts on here, and heard a lot about the old mass migrations of island windsurfers down to Oregon for great wind and waves! It will be my first time down and I would be very keen to sail with some of you who know the area and local conditions etc

Post here if or message me if you’re thinking of heading down in June or any time this summer for WAVES :!: :!: :!:

Hey Dane!

See the "Sharkmethfest 2024" thread. You'll see the plans unfolding there. :D

I've started checking the forecast for the coast already and saw this today. West swell, 16ft at 14 seconds, that's like a Tsunami! Anyone going done early? I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.

No Canada border agent strike ! =D>
Certainly will make the pilgrimage to the South O Coast if the forecast and all other things (see above) line up, gorge for sure.

Wave forecast is improving. Flo Sunday 23rd could be good for a few days.

Coming down Alex?

The water at Flo the other day I swear was the coldest I've felt. Maybe I'm just getting soft though. 3 of us here at the cape now, looking good for a few days.

I can confirm access to the Cape Oasis/culvert bird bath is better than last season and yes, the peeper camera in there is still up. I guess they liked what Jesse and I were offering up. Maybe we have our own cape only fans. Dare to google.

New recruit/oregon coast rookie/prodigal young guy Dane has been checking off boxes from his Oregon coast scavenger hunt at great pace.

Beers at the windsurfing museum w locals
Met Leo
Met Trudy
Sailed full cape hate wind
Cape poo w a view
Camped on the serene and beautiful Flo jetty
Bathe in the cape oasis
Launched into scary pistol

Few things left to check off:
Hedge bets in the meth free zone
Epic swim to gear at Pistol
Super burrito
Hwy 101 Kus shower scene
Jetty chicks
Meet sea life at south jetty
Don't forget to bring a towel!
