Re: Misc Windsurf gear Booms

I see the booms crossed off your list so thanks. No rush for me to get them. Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver or a Sailing site we're simultaneously at are all possible transfer places. If you don't use or have excess uphauls I'll buy one for it too. Otherwise I'll make one as I do for many of my ...

Re: Misc Windsurf gear

Hi Bobson.. As per last year I'm about to pop another $40 to BWD for those booms on top of my normal donation. Seems easiest (cheapest) to just keep them hold for pickup for now. We'll figure a way to get them to me in Nanaimo, Nitnat..,( or some rendezvous spot) or I'll get them from you in ...

Re: Chinook Windsurf Boom - $40 BWD donation

Hi Bobson . I was hoping just the boom head was Aluminium. Would you mind checking the screws that connect the head to the booms themselves (unless it a one piece alum build) . I am conerned for possible spawling (corrosion) or hairline cracks in that area (the head area) which might indicate ...

Re: Chinook Windsurf Boom - $40 BWD donation

Hi Bobson

Another summer & season for me not sailing in Victoria or Nitnaht. Bummer not seeing you. Family stuff pulled me off the water in August and much of Sept. Plus I am in W. Vancouver more than I am in Victoria.

Anyways, Are your booms still for sale? I will do a $40 eTransfer to Senor ...

Re: Where to find Wsurf/SUP Package?

If you want a blow up beach toy that paddles and sails Bic & Starboard make kits to do both, the revamped Windsurfer One design would do both too with an emphasis on Windsurfing of course. Surely there are lots of other brands with products.

In Vancouver North Shore Ski & Board have good ...

Re: Speed sailing…wow

WoW And I thought 55mph was about the fastest.. But I think that record requires a 1 mile or 1km sustained run.

Its nice to think Hwy 19 drivers might slow down to watch these guys going by at just 20kph under the North Island Highway speed limit. LoL

I've yet to go to the trench or even that ...

Pipers & S. Salish Sea

Prior to the fire sky Pipers, Jericho and much of the S. Salish have been going off beautifully,

Even on Windfest weekend both coasts of the S. Salish looked super sweet. I hope it keeps happening.

Wind Models WM5

The availability of Wind Forecast Model data is an essential part of Sailing, of learning about weather and how the confusing unpredicable PNW weather is unlike most Weather Forecasting in Canada

It has equal bearing for American living in the Juan de Fuca & Haro cooridors as well.

How better to ...
