Friday the 13th Fun
https://youtu.be/GMdRfBRC9tc Group shots from the Friday the 13th's fantastic wingfoiling session. Bobson was rippin' and whoopin'. Lots of gybe progression from Lancer. Paul was riding high and fast. MtnarG was following with his butter smooth gybes. Tweezwler was stylin' his elite skills. Ruppdog ...

Squamish Wing Foiling
Does anyone have recent experience with foiling at Squamish, particularly the Spit? I've heard that recent changes have affected access. Is it still accessible to wing foilers without needing a shuttle boat? What are the typical wind speeds? Any other useful info. Thanks in advance!

Re: GPS Tracks
Bob:
If no one else grabs it soon, I'll take it.
I'm using my old bike GPS, but I've never had the best of luck with durability with this new-fangled technology.
I'd rather someone takes it for primary use, but I'll grab it as back up if no one takes the freebie.

Tweezer from the Air 230714

More Novice Drone Follow-Cam 230713
Trying to get a bit better with filming fast moving objects. Very close call with kiter's lines at min 0:33. That would have been bad. I think I got WindJunky and MoreForce4 displaying their awesome skills. I did not recognize the other winger or the kiter. Please let me know if you don't want ...

Drone Training Capture at RB 270712
I'm still learning how to fly this contraption so quality is amateurish.
Many thanks to Paul and Greg for giving me some moving subjects to practice with on a very light wind day.
Good for drone flying, bad for foiling.

Re: Canada Day RB Drone Capture
Hi Keen! I fly a very small UAV, sub 250g, so the foundation rule is , "don't do anything stupid". The basic rules found here - https://tc.canada.ca/sites/default/files/2020-06/2019-2020-AA-33_INFOGRAPHIC_EN_V8.pdf More in-depth micro-drone rules found here. https://tc.canada.ca/en/aviation/drone ...

Canada Day RB Drone Capture
I was too tired to foil anymore so I tried to see if I could fly my Mini3 in the the middling winds and follow my old guy crew. It seems the Mini didn't have much problems with the occasional 25kt gusts and I managed to keep her dry and whole. Still learning the art of follow cam, but it's hard to ...

Re: GPS Tracking how to's
BobO, you know I'm very comfortable with my gentler side! BTW, my drunken monkey foiling technique is likely because I don't tighten any of my foil/mast/base set screws. I'm too terrified of corrosive welding of parts.....

Re: GPS Tracking how to's
20230415_160126a.jpg My budget system consists of an old Garmin Forerunner 220 bought used. The captured tracks are uploaded to the free https://connect.garmin.com site. I then export a GPX file from Connect and upload the file to BWD for expert processing. About a 5min long procedure. Not a ...
