Super fast cat ocean sailing

Found out about another round-the-world record attempt for those of you who were interested in Ellen McCarther's epic trip that just ended.
This is a French cat that might challenge for the overall unlimited speed record - it has hit 42 knots or so in big seas on the ocean! It set a record for something like 700 miles in a day last week. They are regularly over 30 knots, sometimes as a daily average. I've been trying for a year to break 50 kmph (about 28 kt) on a sailboard, and its tough to go that fast even on smooth water!
