(seem like wind is extremely low, hopefully her trip was in May or September, from statistic, these months dont seem very strong, 18kts-23kts average daily with the odd 25-30 kts)

Was wondering about wind strength so I email KiteboardingOman.com and asked them, here is the reply;

Hello from sunny Oman,

no worries, you can easily add around 10 knots for windfinder.

July we will have mainly something between 25 and 45 knots.

The official weather station is based on the north side of the island behind a mountain chain on a air force building.

On our side of the Island you will have more wind mainly.

That’s a screenshot of our own weather center 15th of July to 15th of August:

But you need to add another 5-7 knots because the sensor is mounted above our wind wall. There is a bit a wind hold up.

Basically we are out on a 7meter kite only, sometimes I’m happy to have a 5 meter as well…

I've bee nto Oman twice ( Muscat and Salalah ). Very freindly place. Lots of history ect.... VERY WARM! I went surfing off teh beach and the water is basically bath water.... really salty bath water!

If you ever have the chance the middle east should deffantly be on your list of places to go ( just not to any of the conflict countries )
