31st - 07th - 14th Week - end

Doesnt matter which weekend, departure Friday 1600, coming back 1400 Sunday.

I am tired of dreaming/drooling/wanting to experience it since the last 4 years, especially when it is not that expensive and it doesnt involve an extremely huge commitment and its at a door step from Victoria...

(Unfortunately Hurricane ridge will still be open next weekend, so I am not sure if they will say we cant do it in "a particular area" but I dont think they will since I have read a post on NW kiteboarding forum from a guy that went when it was open a couple years ago. Good news is that the lift will be close for the 07th and 14th April weekend...) Didnt see the lift when I went with my mom, so maybe its not even in the kiting area? Probably not. (Pls do not call them for info as it might do like the fire in IV or lots of other stuff in life/work... Hey if we didnt ask if we were allowed, we would be doing it right now!!!)

There is enough space anyway, so if we cant do it where they say we cant do it well do it 100 meters to the east or west..., and the spot I am thinking clearly had not any lift or ski/snowboard trail on/in it.

I have been there with my mom in April and it would have been a DREAM DAY... Steady wind uphill....

If we get skunk...oh well so be it... There is a lot of interesting things to see in this area anyway...

Too many video watching/dreaming of snowkiting in Utah/Idaho all these years... COMMON LETS F#@$$# DO IT, SERIOUSLY.

Anyone in? Lots of untaped snow.... Uphill wind... Ski or snowboard whatever your thing...

LOFTY, did I mention LOFTY??? ... ... Oh yeah I think this is going to be LOFTY.

Forgot to put link from my visit there:

http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Hu ... e/6day/mid

Seriously pictures dont do it justice (for potential snowkiting spot)

Also, in the link I said something was scary (the upwind wind...)

Well this is not scary anymore, just observe safety (ie go with small kite first, experience how that uphill affect us, then gradually go up size kite...)

Would certainly not ride the 15m at this place when other people are on 7.5m/8m/10m like at cook st. Be safety release concious kind of thing.

thinkiing about it

Kevin, If we go ill bring all my gear:
8m Psycho4
10m rise 2011
12m speed3 (1 Brand new and 1 old that need some tune in, would not mind working on this one over there, easy land adjust relaunch over and over till its perfect)
15m Speed3.

So whatever I am not using you can use, and Ill be more than likely using 3m-5m more of what you ll use so you are set. Pretty sure that if more people are coming they ll be willing to share kites as well, its only 1 day and one morning anyway. Everyone will share more than likely. Its like sharing boards at Nitinaht.
