VANCOUVER ISLAND WINDTALK

Based on the success of last years WMII premieres I am thinking about putting another one together for Oxbow's multidisciplinary movie "Walls of Perception" which showcases all the Oxbow sports; Kiting, Windsurfing, SUP, Long Boarding, Surfing. Those of us who were at the Pistol River Wave bash were able to see the first NA showing of it, and like the WMII, it was awesome.

Just gauging interest here. Unlike WMII this should appeal to just about everyone who checks BWD since the movie includes all of our sports. Probably aim for a mid to late September showing. Venue TBD.

Poor Boyz are onside, waiting to hear from Oxbow and then I'll start searching out a venue.

BA - A fund raiser is a great idea, assuming the venue allows for it and the costs up front for the screening are covered. Once I get an affirmitave I'll see if this is possible and swing the idea past LWD (aka BWD).

Update on a date/location? Sounds like fun.

Still working on it - not much of an update! But trying to get Oxbow on board.

The yacht club has offered their venue for this event and has expressed interest in holding a kiteboard/ windsurf competition for us next year.

Not much of one... the French surf culture moves at a very slow pace apparently. Hopefully It'll happen though!
