Hi guys, this might sound a bit stupid but here it goes anyway. I'm moving out of the country for a yr or so. The plan is to store my gear in the back shed. Temps can drop down to -40 and I really don't know what kind of damage this can have on my sails/boards? (if any) Has anybody done this? What happened? I appreciate any help I can get. ... maybe I shouldn't huh?

as long as your gear is dry, should be no problem. i've left my gear in the garage for many a PEI winter with no problems, don't know if it got to -40 that often though...

Hi there
Just don't disturb them when it's colder than about 20 below. Thin plastic products snap and split easily at those temps.

Should be OK. People sail on ice during the winter time with monofilm sails and carbon masts no problem, so I suppose storage is fine too. As about the boards, they should be fine as long as they are dry. Just don't forget to open went plugs.
