I think constance bank would be a killer spot to sail. I never reall thought of that. But the level of kiteboarding would have to be nothing but perfect''
The gear would have to be mint and not only should you have a boat on stanby"" Great for me and you. Or as a group. """FLARES."""
I think this would only be for expert sailors.

A USed 30 foot Coast Guard 35 foot Zodiac with twin 250
You can be at race rock in 20 min and launch quite easliy from
He can be on standby. His Launch is near the Pilot Boats
It has to be three people minimum but 4 or more would be better.
And exciting. Maybe score a rail slide on a Orca.
But there would be a time period and everyone would have to stay in a group
Sighned Waiver, And hAVE A pfd

Hmmm.....Twin ocean class outboards and a thirty foot zodiac. Sounds like someone has some extra jinglies or they don't know that that used rig is still $75,000.00
Why not just charter an A-Star when ever you need one. you could do fifty downwinders for the price.

Milt the owner of Mercury Marine would do it if anyone is interested.
He has to tend with the shitty weather driving out there and back.
It is only a thought that he asked me to run buy everyone.
Actually the power alone is about $75.000
It would be a quick trip to the race""

Honestly, I'm not ready for it yet.
But I plan to be by the end of this season.
If not then, next year for sure.
I would love to do downwinders,
and I think that's a fair price.

Constance Bank

I never really thought about sailing at constance bank.
But after Pimp Hand brought it up I thought about it.
When We fish out the the time when the water is moving
through Juan de fuca streight Constance bank gets as shallow as 60 feet
deep and can produce Almost mast high standing waves.
I think it would be a great playground. Having A coast Guard boat
on standby Is Great. It is about 4 miles out to sea and conditions in
the streight are more unstable and hard to read than DR.
I think the boat that would be on standby would have to be
larger or atleast 30 feet in length.
Some how I think having a boat moored in the harbour
while someone is on standby would be sufficiant. But
Having contact with the group of kiteboarders should be manditory.
I just can not figure out how. Everyone fitted with VHF's
The only thing I can think would be to have someone with a radio
on the beach waiting for the group of kiteboarders that would have to stay in a group to let the rescue craft know that everyone is alright.
That means a time period on the water. Weather it is a down winder
or a session At constance bank. Some how working out how to do it
would not be impossable.
The people who are interested in Driving the rescue craft
are keen and willing to try something new.
I am only looking for feed back and suggestions.
This can be easily done but would have to organize it
safetly and properly so there is no bad incodents.
Cheers
I think everyone should get a water proof VHF
on them if they are interested. For not much more than
150$ you will always have the weather.
This will be always available if people are interested. And for
ONLY EXPERT SAILORS.
