Don't blame the size of the wing: balz muller freestyle on the 1100

Thanks for the videos. Liking the 1100 more and more, looking forward to trying it with a wing now.
Where winging starts to to shine, and I mean REALLY shine is if you have any lumps to ride.
Thanks Chris, Foiling certainly has become an obsession for me. I'm thinking the swell out in Boundary Bay would be fun with the wing, I might need to get one for the fall.

I was thinking wing dinging looked to be about as much fun as a thigh master but then this happened

Wing ding looks more jump friendly that windfoiling.

I vote for an indefinite moratorium on calling it "Wing dinging". Please. For the love of God. It looks silly enough without the dumb ass name.

That back flip! Who'll be first here to do it? I think Robin has the most hours on the water; he should try it first.

Seconded

As George Castanza found out ... you don’t get to choose your nickname! Wingdinging it is!

I am all for wingdinging. Celebrate the inner kook. We should wear clown makeup.

Fine, wing-a-ling it is.

I just call it kiting, cause I am NOT explaining another windsport to my mother in-law. Especially a wind sport that mimes exactly like windsurfing.

Although I am probably wingdinging, it's a derogatory term

Wingdinging 1: wing plus sup

Wingdinging 2: beginner winger kook on 7' foilboard requiring a seizure to get on foil then going 10mph and missing 98% of transitions

Winging: general freeride wing foiling

Wingsurfing: using the wing to catch a wave then surf foiling

Wingfoil Surfing: competitive wingsurfing

Wingfoil racing: competitive racing class

Wingfoil - Freestyle: competitive winging judged on 75% aerials and 25% octagon control

I think this is a reasonable compromise - the better you are the cooler you get to make the sport sound. And for the record I am still definitely wing dinging. The seizure stage 2 describes me perfectly. Except I am currently missing exactly 100% of my transitions.

So if cool factor defines the name, what will this be called?

31 mph on a wing. That fast enough WS247?
